Learn How to Sail - Course Description
Learn
to Sail in
Three Weekends
Our Three Weekend Learn
to Sail course covers the same material as our
5 day Learn to Sail Course. If you really want to learn
the ropes and you only have weekends free, this is the one for you.
The three weekend Learn to Sail Course consists of the sequence of
three separate weekend workshops. We begin with the
Sailing
Fundamentals Weekend, then follow that up with the Intermediate
Sailing & Seamanship
Weekend. We finish up with the
Advanced Boathandling Weekend
which will have you flying across the Bay with the spinnaker up!
The weekends do not have to be taken
consecutively, but should be taken as close together as possible to
maintain continuity.
This course is extremely
comprehensive. Using the modern J/80 as our teaching platform, we begin
with basic boat-handling and progress at a rate which will keep the
sailing fun and the best of students challenged! We spend more time on the water in one day than
many schools do in an entire class. And with a maximum of four
sailors per boat, all attendees are certain to receive plenty of
personal attention. Participants gain extensive hand-on
experience, building the sailing skills knowledge to pursue sailing
endeavors on their own, with confidence.
Confidence
through Competence
Without question, this
is the ultimate course for learning to sail. If you are going
to invest the time and the money, make sure you get the most of
both, so that you can get the most out of sailing. Our J World

sailors, far exceeds any other schools' or organizations' criteria
for 'basic' level sailing courses. Topics include:
