Annual Sea of Cortez Cruise
Each Spring, J World
hosts a series of Liveaboard Cruising
Courses on a special trip up into the stunning Sea of Cortez.
Departing in late April and consisting of two legs, this is a true
hands-on 'education vacation.'
A J World instructor
will be with you the whole time, and you may earn your US Sailing
Basic Cruising or
Bareboat Cruising
certifications. We'll make sure that you get the experience,
knowledge, and confidence to go it alone next time! Since we
keep the student to instructor ration very low (4:1) to make sure you get lots of personal attention.
Spaces are limited and enrollment has begun for all legs, so please contact us early reserve your spot!
 Leg
I - Puerto Vallarta to La Paz - April
26 - May 2
This 7 day cruise begins at our Mexican base in Puerto Vallarta.
We'll get comfortable with the boat, then start working our way
northward. Possible ports-of-call on the mainland side include
Punta Mita, Chacala, San Blas, and the remarkable Isla Isabella.
Then you will get the chance to cross the Sea of Cortez, making
landfall on the Baja peninsula north of Cabo San Lucas. The
crew will then sail up the Baja coast before debarking in the
wonderful city of La Paz. $2790 per person (plus taxes).
 Leg
II - La Paz to San Carlos
- May 3 - May 9
We'll meet in the yachting center of La Paz, then head north,
meandering thru the spectacular islands which harbor popular
cruising grounds. After a visits to Mulege, Escondido, San
Jose, and maybe even Santa Rosalia, we'll head East over to the
mainland, culminating with our arrival in the wonderful town of San
Carlos,
Sonora.. $2790 per person (plus taxes).
