The
Performance Sailing Club
Offering Bareboat Charters in San Francisco and
Puerto Vallarta to our Members
Membership Information
J World, the Performance
Sailing School and Club, offers memberships and bareboat charters to our
alumni and any sailor with
US Sailing Basic Cruising certification,
or equivalent experience. For those sailors wanting to acquire
certification we can arrange that for you. Look at our
Sailing
Instruction information, or contact us for information. All
memberships and bareboat charters are contingent upon successful completion of a check-out
sail.
Membership Fees:
Standard Level: NO Monthly Dues! $250 one-time administrative/check-out fee. Each J80
rental is only $250 per day (racing charters are higher), and you
get club rates on other fleet vessels.
Premier Level: NO Monthly Dues!
$2450 annual fee, unlimited J80 usage and club
rates on other fleet vessels (additional usage and insurance charges
may apply for racing usage).
That's it! There
are no monthly dues, and no hidden costs. You pay only when
you sail. And we have some of the best rates on the Bay...
here's a sample:
* Racing charters and charter rates in Puerto Vallarta
may vary.
* Mexican taxes are NOT includedClub

Due to the sometimes
challenging conditions which can arise unexpectedly, any skipper desiring to bareboat charter vessels
within the J World Club are expected to demonstrate proficient
sailing skills. All club candidates are expected to do the
following:
-
Sailors must have

Performance Cruising Course (or elsewhere attained the
US Sailing Basic Cruising

conditions, and dominant weather patterns.
-
All candidates must

-
Candidates must
complete, to our satisfaction, an on-the-water demonstration of
skill, including such maneuvers as heaving -to, reefing,
crew-overboard recovery, and docking under sail.

Please submit to our office
a brief sailing resume, including copies of any certifications you
might have earned, then contact us to schedule your checkout.
Please note that there is a $250 checkout fee.
