-All turns are full turns (+ or -) from Base Setting
-Rake= 36’ 6 5/8” at 16 units on the Loos Gauge
-In light air the leeward lower should just be starting to
sag
-As the wind increases the leeward lower will have a touch
of sag and then straight when powered up
-Around 15 knots we make a big jump on the lower shrouds so
that the leeward lower is tight, supporting the mast fore
and aft
-The upper goes as tight as possible to keep the mast
somewhat straight sideways. * Remember with the tight lowers
you have to be careful when running. Keep some backstay
tension so the mast stays in column

-21+ Mast will be slightly poked to weather; leeward shroud
tight while going to windward |
