North Sails Farr 40 Tuning Guide

 

The mast butt position measurement from the aft face of the bulkhead
to the forward face of the carbonspar should be 12cm.


The "J" measurement shall be class max 4.705m measured from headstay
centerline at stem shear, through forward hatch to forward face of spar.

Blue shaded sections indicate measurements taken from RT-11 Loos Gauge.

*The ARC is a radius (+1 meter) measured from the top of the Gooseneck Band to the Headstay. The 1.44m value is the measurement from the bearing point of the headsail snap shackle bar to the mark you made on the Headstay when the ARC was swung.
