Advanced Boathandling
Advanced Boathandling Course Description
In our Advanced
Boathandling Weekend, you will practice your boat handling skills,
refine your sail trim techniques, and be introduced to sailing with
spinnakers. Be prepared: we get pretty into how our sails work
and really understanding how to control and use the power of the rig
across a variety of conditions. This is a must-do class for
anyone who wants to sail regularly in San Francisco Bay! We
even get into understanding yacht design basics so that you
understand you boat better and know how to get the most out of it.
And if all that wasn't enough, we also take a look at tides and
currents, and navigation. This course is also an excellent
brush up course for our for our Racing classes as well as our
Cruising classes. We offer US Sailing certification with this
advanced boat handling sailing course.

Completion of both a
sailing fundamentals course and an intermediate course, or similar
experience.
