Advanced BoathandlingAdvanced Boathandling Weekend Course DescriptionIn our Advanced Boathandling Weekend Sailing Course with J World Sailing School and Club, you will practice your boat handling skills, refine your sail trim techniques, and be introduced to sailing with spinnakers. Be prepared: we get into the finer points of how our sails work and really understanding how to control and use the power of the rig across a variety of conditions. This is a must-do class for anyone who wants to sail regularly in San Francisco Bay! We even get into understanding yacht design basics so that you understand you boat better and know how to get the most out of it. This sailing course is also an excellent brush up course for our for our Racing classes, as well as our cruising classes. We can offer US Sailing Certification with the completion of the advanced boat handling sailing course. This course is usually taught aboard our J/80s, and has a guaranteed enrollment of four students or less so everyone gets plenty of personal attention. Course topics include:
